Ingredients:
1/4 cup mashed banana
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup milk
3 tbs butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup flour
2 tbs cocoa powder
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Combine mashed banana, sugar, milk, butter, and vanilla extract in a bowl. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients and stir until smooth.
Spray a medium sized microwavable bowl with Pam and add cake batter.
Let cool for 5 minutes. Place a plate on top of the bowl and invert so the cake falls on the plate. Dust with powdered sugar.
If you want to make this cake extra special, whip up some caramelized bananas to put on top!
Caramelized Banana Ingredients:
1 banana, sliced
1 tbs butter
2 tbs brown sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
Melt butter in a non stick skillet and add brown sugar. Carefully add the bananas as to not smash them and cook until bubbly. Add lemon juice to prevent darkening.
Serve on top of No Bake Chocolate Banana Cake.
I think the addition of the bananas on top takes this cake from delicious to extraordinary. Feel free to eat the whole cake yourself!
made this tonight, it took no time at all! The hardest thing was waiting the few minutes for it to cool! Tasted like a chocolatey banana cake, very yummy! I was surprised at how moist it is for being a microwavable cake.
